These terms apply to website hosting provided by Technology Mechanics. The applicable order defines the hosted sites, storage, traffic allowances, email, backup, maintenance and management services included.
Customer Content
The customer is responsible for the legality, accuracy and rights associated with website content, media, software and data it provides or instructs us to publish.
Website Software
CMS, plugin, theme, application and database maintenance is included only when stated in the order. Unsupported or abandoned software may need to be upgraded, replaced or removed to maintain security.
Security
Customers must protect administrator credentials and promptly notify us of suspected compromise. We may isolate a compromised site or disable malicious functionality when reasonably necessary to protect the customer or hosting environment.
Backup
Backup is included only when stated in the order. Customers should maintain copies of business-critical website content when the order does not include managed backup.
Resource Use and Acceptable Use
Sites must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy. Excessive resource consumption, abuse or malicious traffic may require mitigation, an upgraded plan or temporary restriction.
Third-Party Components
Third-party themes, plugins, applications, licenses and external services remain subject to vendor terms, security updates and availability.
Termination
Customers should request any required site export before termination. Access and retained backups may be removed after decommissioning according to the service configuration.
