These supplemental terms apply to virtual private server (VPS) services. The applicable quote or order defines CPU, memory, storage, operating system, bandwidth, management level, licensing and optional services.
Resource Allocation
VPS resources are subject to the limits stated in the order. Sustained use that exceeds allocated resources or materially affects shared infrastructure may require an upgrade, rate limiting or other corrective action.
Managed and Unmanaged Services
For managed VPS service, Technology Mechanics performs only the administration specifically included in the order. For unmanaged service, the customer is responsible for operating-system administration, patching, applications, security and backups unless separately purchased.
Backup
Snapshots, replication and redundant storage are not a substitute for backup. Backup is included only when specifically stated in the order.
Security and Acceptable Use
The customer must protect credentials and applications and comply with the Acceptable Use Policy. Compromised or abusive systems may be isolated or suspended when reasonably necessary.
Maintenance and Availability
We may perform scheduled or emergency host maintenance. Eligible VPS services are subject to the Uptime Guarantee unless the order states otherwise.
Termination
Customers are responsible for exporting required data before cancellation or decommissioning. Data may be deleted after termination in accordance with the service configuration and normal backup lifecycle.
