This policy supplements our Privacy Policy for customer data processed through hosting, virtual server, dedicated server and related infrastructure services.
Customer Data
Customers determine the content placed in their hosted environments and are responsible for having the rights, notices and consents needed for that content. Technology Mechanics processes hosted data as necessary to provide, secure, maintain, troubleshoot and support the service.
Access to Hosted Systems
Authorized Technology Mechanics personnel and approved service providers may access systems or data when reasonably necessary for service delivery, support, maintenance, security, abuse prevention, backup or legal compliance. Access may be logged.
Service Providers
Hosting services may rely on data centers, cloud platforms, network providers, storage providers, software vendors and other subprocessors. We require appropriate safeguards where applicable and use providers for legitimate service-delivery purposes.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the services we provide. Customers remain responsible for security obligations assigned to them under the service order, including application security, user access, passwords, patching or configuration where those functions are outside our managed scope.
Regulated Data
Do not place data subject to special legal or contractual requirements into a hosted service unless the service has been approved for that use and any required agreement, such as a business associate agreement or data-processing agreement, has been executed.
Termination and Data Return
Upon termination, customers should export or request return of needed data before the service is decommissioned. Data may be deleted after termination in accordance with the applicable order, retention settings, backup lifecycle and legal requirements.
Legal Requests
Requests for customer information are handled under our Court Order and Subpoena Policy.
